TD AMERITRADE
My current broker. More expensive than Interactive Brokers, but a great platform – ThinkorSwim.
My backup brokers. Very good fee and commission structure, but a less user friendly trading platform (TWS)
Trading Platforms and Charting Packages
THINKORSWIM
My trading platform, which you get when you sign up with TD Ameritrade. It’s awesome. I spent absolute ages looking at different trading platforms. If you have a question – please ask. I really did look at them all – well, almost all.
An online charting package that can link to some brokers and used to trade directly. It has a free option which I use for quick “check ins”.
Training
THEOTRADE (link to a free Options ebook)
I have an annual subscription with TheoTrade. Loads and loads of really good video-based training. Be careful of information overload though! My subscription comes to an end soon.
FLAGTRADER / GUY COHEN (video link)
I used to have an annual subscription with FlagTrader. The bottom line here is that you are effectively buying into the OVI indicator which is proprietary and only available from the FlagTrader website.
I also had an annual subscription here once. Interesting… But, I didn’t use it too much as I was going through a phase of “trying too many things at once”. I’ll cover this in my ‘trading journey’.
